Children's Meeting

Brighton Children's Meeting welcomes all children and their parents to Children's Meeting and Creche. Children will have the opportunity to learn more about Quakers today, the roots of Quakerism, and to explore for themselves what this means for them in their own lives.

Also, from time to time, our main 10.30am Sunday meeting is run as an "All Age Worship". This is a joint Meeting for children and adults when the children stay in the Meeting and there are some themed activities available for both adults and children to take part in.

It is always a joy when the whole Meeting, all ages, shares in worship together. Adults are encouraged to participate in the children's creativity while still attending to the deep silence which we seek.

If you would like someone to look after your child while you participate in worship without them, please let us know in advance so that we can make arrangements.

All leaders are DBS checked. One parent per family is asked to stay with babies and toddlers up to age 2 in the Creche. Creche is for our younger children and Children’s Meeting for children over 5.

Our Children's Meeting is held every Sunday

News from Childrens Meeting

As Quakers we are members of The Climate Coalition. We continue to follow their campaign to Show the Love for our planet. At our spring All Age Worship we created a large woven green heart, full of messages about how we love our planet and what we want the government to do to tackle climate change, protect the vulnerable and protect nature and to take action to bring down energy bills . During the Meeting adults and children came up to a table to write a message on a green strip to be woven into the big green heart by the children.
